communityai UK Business Update · Location. Impact. Intelligence.

Turning media, procurement and place into measurable community impact.

One spatial-intelligence platform. Score the need, align the funding, move the ring-fenced 1%, prove the return. Google-first, UK-resident, governed by design.

Your technical partner

A full-stack spatial data scientist: visualising the where, understanding the why, architecting the how.

For three years I led the spatial analysis behind where a major retailer's capital and media spend landed across Europe. Now I point the same engine at community impact, with the team.

Education
MSc Urban Spatial Science · UCL · Distinction Plus a master's in engineering and architecture (UPC), MIT Senseable City Lab, and software engineering.
Experience · several hats

I visualise the where, understand the why, and architect the how.

From retail capex to community impact TJX

For three years, I led the location intelligence powering capital allocation across a European retail network.

Sociodemographic, transactional and customer data, on a modern data and engineering stack.

Property · the capex

Location intelligence inside Property: site selection, chain potential, whitespace. Working with the acquisition managers who sign the leases.

→ the real-estate vertical

Marketing · the opex

Customer analytics inside Marketing: marketing and media-mix optimisation. Working with the media agencies who place the spend.

→ the media vertical

Property is real estate. Marketing is media. Point the same maths at need, and you have procurement and impact. CommunityAI is that turn.

One engine, three markets

One model and data core, serving three market interfaces.

Community Life Score  ·  CVROI  ·  The Network
A media brief →

Media

Purpose-attached, upstream demand. Managed service + API.

A tender →

Procurement

A social-value guarantee. Low-touch rail.

A tenant agreement →

Real estate

Places with Purpose. Partner + data licence.

The way in and the way out flex to each market. The engine, and the moat, stay the same.

Google + IBM · regulated by design

Google for the intelligence. IBM for governance and reach.

GoogleGoogle · the core

  • Gemini Enterprise + Gemini 3.x parse tenders and briefs into structured intent.
  • BigQuery is the system of record for the CLS spine.
  • Managed Spark and CARTO do the spatial compute.
  • Assured Workloads pins UK residency.

IBMIBM · governance & reach

  • watsonx.governance: model fact-sheets, bias and drift.
  • watsonx.data on Google Cloud Marketplace, optional governed layers.
  • IBM Consulting's Google Cloud Practice: public-sector accreditation and route to market.

On the June 2026 IBM × Google Cloud alliance (target sectors: government and financial services). Money moves over licensed payment rails; IBM brings the governance, Google brings the intelligence. Enterprise data stays governed and private.

How we build it · four disciplines, one platform

I help design, architect and build it, with the team.

Data architecture
The UK-resident blueprint: how data is structured, stored and governed. The trust layer regulated buyers rely on.
Data engineering
The pipelines that ingest the data moat and make BigQuery the single source of truth. One source of truth.
Data science
In-house models for community detection and impact: spatial cross-validation and the CVROI return model, with the matching keystone. The moat we are building.
Software
Cloud Run services, the API and the clean room: what partners plug into. The thing they buy.

Google for the intelligence · IBM for the governance · regulated by design.

Hands-on across the architecture and the build, bringing in the specialists who multiply it.

Why I'm building this

The right problem, the right moment, the right overlap.

Why it matters to me

I trained as an environmental scientist and spent a decade making cities more sustainable. CommunityAI points the engine I have built at the communities that need it most.

Why now

Regulation now demands proof of impact. Retail media is exploding. The Google and IBM alliance makes a regulated platform buildable today.

Why me

A decade turning place into decisions, for retailers, cities and governments. I help design, architect and engineer the platform, and ship it with the team.

This is the most important problem I could work on, and I'm all in.

The technical partner

Make it true,
then make it big.

I know this platform end to end, help design its architecture, and build it with this team. Visualising the where, understanding the why, architecting the how.

I'm all in: building it with this team, for the greatest social impact we can make.
